Control panel, Audio Library

Before you create an outgoing message, you will need to set up your Audio library. This is a series of audio files you can use for setting up your Callflow for incoming callers.

Let’s say you would like to set up the following Callflow;

1 – Your phone rings for 30 seconds.

2 – If not answered, that after 30 seconds, the person should be directed to leave a message.

3 – The message should be something like; “Please leave a message for me and we will get back to you as soon as possible”

3 – When the caller has left a message, your system should end the call.

The first thing you should do is to log into your cloud control panel and select ‘Audio Library’ as shown below.

If you haven’t any audio recordings set up yet, select ‘+New Audio’ button and you will be at the screen below.

If you know how to upload your own MP3 audio file, you can do so here. This is beyond the remit of this document so we will be concentrating on using the ‘Text to Speech’ option.

Enter an ‘Audio Name’ for this Audio.

Optionally, you can enter a ‘Description’.

Tick the ‘Test to Speech’ option.

Choose a voice and listen to it to make sure it is suitable.

In the text box, filing your outgoing message as appropriate.

When finished, click the Green ‘Add Audio’ button to save your message – as below.

Always check your audio file before committing it. You may also need to add extra commas and spaces to make your sentences flow more naturally. This is normal for text to speech. Also, since text to speech relies on the way words sound as opposed to how they are spelt – you may need to spell words incorrectly to make them sound better. Takes a bit of trial and error but its worth making a few attempts to get it just right.

In our example below, you can see we have a supple of audios. On your computer, select the play to hear and verify your audio. If it is OK, select the ‘Back’ button. If not, select the gear icon on the right of the audio and edit your audio.

You can record all your audios here for use when you start setting up the a Callflow with out going messages.
